Hello Neptune Cash team and community

I need help investigating a problem with two separate NPT transactions I sent to SafeTrade from my Neptune desktop wallet.

I sent 350 NPT twice, one transaction immediately after the other. My wallet balance decreased by 700 NPT, but SafeTrade credited only 350 NPT.

The strange part is that both transactions appear to have the same TXID, but they are associated with different block heights: 59,730 and 59,732.

I checked the TXIDs character by character, and they appear identical. I also checked the block explorer, but I cannot find a clear explanation for what happened to the second 350 NPT transaction.

Could someone please help me investigate the following?

1. Why do the two separate transactions appear to have the same TXID?

2. Why are they associated with different block heights?

3. Was the second 350 NPT transaction successfully broadcast and confirmed?

4. Is there a way to identify and verify the second transaction using the wallet logs, transaction digest, or another method?

---

The reference implementation `neptune-core` allows you to see transaction output digests for each block. They don’t reveal anything about the transaction but if you send the same UTXO twice, that will show up as a repeated digest.

And blocks 59730 and 59732 do contain a duplicated output:

The `neptune-core` software does allow for that, and it will credit the wallet with the right amounts. So it should be received by SafeTrade if your details are correct.

So SafeTrade has your coins provided you got the details right. However, the RPC list\_utxos deduplicates its output by addition record, by design and documented at the method. A wallet holding both duplicated UTXOs will only show one row for them, but balances and spending can handle both.
